What if you could create a powerful, soulful way of being in the world that was free from blocks and fears? A way of being that is authentic and truthful and unfettered. A way of being that bypasses your self-judgments and resides in the core truth of yourself.
How would that feel?
Recently, I did that with my personal coach Karen Davis. She helped me create a list of truthful declarations about myself that emphasize the highest, noblest parts of myself. I read the declarations and then I embody them.
Coach Steve Hardison, who also creates a list of such declarations with his clients, writes that “they are you at your inner core, the you without baggage, the you without wounds, damage, or fear. They are you without the need to impress or the struggle to be good enough. They are the you you know you are in your gut when you have moments of clarity. They are the you that soars.”
Now these declarations are not affirmations. They are not about what I *want* to be. They are about what I am. I am going to share the list of my declarations (except for one really private one) in just a moment.
But first I want to say something about how the declarations are formed. You start by creating a list of judgments you have about yourself. Making my list took about four hours, working with Karen. Then, we took another four hours to come up with the declarations, which are the truths underneath the judgments.
For example, a judgement I have is “I am selfish.” The truth underneath is “My wants and needs excite me.” Another judgment is, “I’ll be punished if I speak my aspirations.” The truth underneath that judgement is “My life and aspirations inspire people.” And on and on.
Here are all my declarations:

I read my list of declarations every morning. I have it memorized. And I bring it up when I hear myself telling unkind stories about myself or others. Using this list of declarations, I return to how I choose to be in the world, which means I am more free to be love, self-realization, abundance and service.
What do you think?
By the way, if you ever want to create a list of declarations of your truths, feel free to get in touch. I can do that with you.
