Obama, Clinton and even McCain have decent proposals on climate change. The question is, what will it take to make climate change one of the defining issues of the next presidency? How can we convince both the presidential candidates and our congressional representatives to make this the most important item of the coming term?
From the 1SKy blog:
“If you’ve been following the news recently, you know that we’re in the thick of a tempestuous primary season for Democrats and Republicans alike. Despite the fact that the Presidential candidates give four or five speeches a day, journalists and pundits seem determined to ignore substantive questions about climate change and green jobs. The League of Conservation Voters calculates that out of 2,830 questions asked of the candidates by TV reporters over the past year, only six covered global warming.”
You can send the candidates each a letter by clicking here. But that’s not enough. What else can we do?
