By my definition, the good life comprises two elements:
1. Ease: We get our basic needs for security, health, connection and meaning met easily and without jumping through the false consumerist hoops society expects of us.
2. Importance: We don’t stop at having ease for ourselves but gain transcendence by working to make sure that is available to everyone else regardless of background, both by helping individuals and changing systems.
